parts packs revisited

hello g&j i just got around to reading the latest two issues and the one with the bentley on the cover (by the way...WOW f'in WOW!!!) had a mention in your ask g&j column about suspension parts in the old parts packs. you said there were no parts included except for one with an "orange crate" type frame in it.

well im not sure i can agree with that, but maybe im about to bring up the same package you allude to...there was certainly at least one frame set that included, from memory, a very nice halibrand quick change rear end plus certainly at least one front axle, along with radius rods, springs and shocks and other suspension parts. if i recall correctly there were other suspension parts in some of them as well (i seem to remember at least a couple of different frame and running gear assortments).

tonite when i go over to my friend jerry amarals place to finish up our 07 NNL deuce i will look through his extensive collection of these packs and take photos to prove my point. or disprove my point depending on outcome.

you did mention that if someone were to make these things today there would be suspension parts like a corvette IRS or a jaguar IRS etc and i would just like to say to that: BRING IT ON!!! i think this would be a great item for a resin caster though some of this stuff would be pretty fiddley.

anyway great issues of course and did i mention that Bentley! WOW OH WOW!!!
