Twist67 Posted February 2, 2007 Posted February 2, 2007 Hi, today I want to show you one of my Diorama´s I built about two years ago.The cars I used are an Revell 1967 Charger,an AMT Chevy Nova and an AMT Mercury Cougar. The fence is made from Balsawood. The grass and other parts are taken from railroadmodelling.I made a oilcolor washing on the cars and used some pastelchalk.A little bit drybrushing and a lot of phantasie, lol. Here you can find more pictures http://www.themodelfactory.de/Dioramen/dio.../carsnbarns.htm
Barbo Posted February 2, 2007 Posted February 2, 2007 Hi...Twist67...The Car's n Barns diorama is cool. It looks like a scene from Virginia. You did excelent weathering details with the diorama ''Old Dumper''....do you also build Military dioramas?......Barbo.
Jairus Posted February 3, 2007 Posted February 3, 2007 Very nice! Love the tarp. So what's in the Cougar? 390? Better be a 390....I'll give you 5 grand for the Cougar! 6?
Twist67 Posted February 3, 2007 Author Posted February 3, 2007 Hi there, thanks for the nice words. @Barbo,no I don´t build military dioramas. @Jairus,sorry,no engine it´s gone out of the car some time ago to redo it.....the whole car will be restored some day....
Barbo Posted February 3, 2007 Posted February 3, 2007 Hi...Twist67..thats fine , I thought you also build military dioramas , because I can notice some military diorama technique in your model...keep up the good work...........Barbo
Twist67 Posted February 4, 2007 Author Posted February 4, 2007 Hi, Barbo I often take a look to the techniques they used on military models....or also on railroad models...you can try those things in larger scale, too.Sometimes it works and sometimes not......but it´s always woth a try
Mike Whatshisname Posted May 19, 2008 Posted May 19, 2008 The military guys have some great ideas and methods that we can use in our dioramas. I am always checking out the Fine Scale mags etc. for ideas. Twist, do you have the dio out to modify it or are you just getting around now to showing us pics of it. It looks fabulous.
