edward smith Posted July 10, 2010 Posted July 10, 2010 Just bought me some Dupli-Color touch up paint, the one that comes in an applicator type bottle for fixing scratches. My question is, what do you guys thin it with? Regular Lacquer Thinner? Acetone? Please, help me, it's my first time airbrushing this thing. Also, what ratio for paint/thinner? Thank you.
pharr7226 Posted July 10, 2010 Posted July 10, 2010 I generally don't thin it if I decant it. However, if it requires thinning I use lacquer thinner. As for the ratio, thin it until it has the consistency of 2% milk. Good luck.
tabsscale1 Posted July 11, 2010 Posted July 11, 2010 That paint is pretty thick in those bottles. I would probaly use Lacquer thinner to thin it down. I would thin it to about the consistency as milk.
