This is the first time im ever building a 40 Ford Coupe showroom stock the reason for that is next years contest theme is "1941" . I'd figured why not build a 40 Ford Coupe all original. I need to do a lot of research on this one.

Heres where im at so far.

Rick, I gave ya a P- M . If ya need my personal E-mail , I can pass it along . From building that kit myself , I found for the most part that the instruction sheet for the most part was on the money. Exterior colors were very limited . Just remember , ONE tail light ! The headlight bezels were body colored too ! Ed Shaver

I will most certainly watch this as a 1940 Ford is my all time favorite model.

I would darn near kill for an old AMT 1940 Ford model.

More progress done on the 40 getting rid of those seams were a pain once that was done i'd primed the body in Krylon Ruddy Brown primer which looks similar to the Red Oxide primer but that doesnt matter since the body is being painted Gloss Black.

More progress i'd managed to get some paint on the body i'd used Wal-Mart(Colorplace) Gloss Black not too shabby for 96 cents. I'll let the pics do the talking.
