S10man Posted April 15, 2006 Posted April 15, 2006 This is a project I started last week. Its the Monogram Valvoline March Indy car. Overall not a bad kit, with some really good detail in places, but some parts of the engine are quite poor (however they hardly show). Thanks for looking.
MonoPed Posted April 15, 2006 Posted April 15, 2006 Lookin good! I built the Mac Tools/Planters Buick/Lola right after I got back in the hobby. Thinking about grabbing a couple of these kits and taking another shot at it.
S10man Posted April 16, 2006 Author Posted April 16, 2006 Very nice Brian. Some of the old Indy car kits are pretty good, and they show up regularly on e-bay for basically peanuts.
S10man Posted April 17, 2006 Author Posted April 17, 2006 I finished this one today. Its a fairly good kit, with reasonable detail. I added engine wiring, fuel lines, brake lines and a 5 point safety harness. Paint is Duplicolor Dark Blue and Duplicolor White, with several coats of clearcoat over the decals. Thanks for looking.
S10man Posted April 17, 2006 Author Posted April 17, 2006 Beautiful car. Did the windshield come tinted ? Thanks Steve. Yes, the windshield was already tinted.
