Greg Cullinan Posted August 31, 2010 Posted August 31, 2010 As of now I don't have many finished models that mean that much to me so I have them in my hobby room uncovered. I have my eyes on the Carney cases or a jewelers case from craigslist one of these days. I use this shelf and a toolbox.
Monte's Motors Posted September 1, 2010 Posted September 1, 2010 Built this using 2"x 2" , plywood, plexiglass. The top, sides, and bottoms are plexiglass. The plexiglass doors slide up and down in grooves cut in the 2" x 2" frame. Best thing about building your own is, you can build to fit.
57peppershaker Posted September 1, 2010 Posted September 1, 2010 Hi Guys (& ladies ?) First post from a newbie, so I'm still checking everything out. Budget low buck display case ? Go to the pet shop, get a cheap fish tank & turn it upside down on your display shelf. Better than letting the dust get to them.
MILD Posted September 2, 2010 Posted September 2, 2010 I've been looking to pick up an individual plastic display case like the Testors or Trumpeter offerings and it's virtually impossible to find them! Any advice- not even Google is my friend at this stage.
VVhiplash Posted September 2, 2010 Posted September 2, 2010 (edited) I will store them in an entertainment unit until I have a dozen completed...then I plan on buying this at IKEA for 80$ CAD. Edited September 2, 2010 by VVhiplash
kobuzz Posted September 2, 2010 Author Posted September 2, 2010 Lots of good ideas. Thank you to everyone for posting. It's very much appreciated!
