The First Place choice of the judges as well as the Peoples Choice winner is "Margaritaville" by Hollywood Jim Fernandez.

The Blue Highway award goes to "Silver, Blue and Gold" by Steve Hinson.

I had not heard of many of the songs from the contests until they were referenced for the contest. As long as it's a published song and I can verify it, it's fair game. That is the reason for encouraging entrants to include the portion of the lyrics the song is based upon with their entries.
