crazyjim Posted August 8, 2010 Posted August 8, 2010 I did lots of stuff on this build; scratch built the door panels & console; modified the rumble seat so it kinda match the single stripe bucket seats; frenched taillights and front turn signals; sunroof; one piece tilt hood; .062 solder for the exhaust with Evergreen tubing for mufflers; polished aluminum exhaust tips; wheels/tires from somewhere; black BMF running boards. The paint is HOK Magenta kandy over a gold base.
DRG Posted August 8, 2010 Posted August 8, 2010 I like this one a lot. Nice clean build and a great paint job.
Kodiak Island Modeler Posted August 9, 2010 Posted August 9, 2010 This is a nice selection of equipment and colors. It just all blends together quite well.
crazyjim Posted August 9, 2010 Author Posted August 9, 2010 Thanks guys. That interior was a pain. I sanded the original door panels smooth and cut a new panel from Evergreen. I cut another panel to fit on top and then an arm rest on top of that. The arm reat has the door lever in the front. Did you see the console that's tucked between the seats? Those are Del Sol seats from Scale Dreams.
bigmikevee Posted August 10, 2010 Posted August 10, 2010 Hey Jim, Wow, what a cool car, looks really good, can tell what a pain the interior must have been, but just look at the end result!! Lookin' good sir, love the body color, great job Jim, and thanks for posting. Mike
