High octane Posted August 17, 2010 Posted August 17, 2010 Spraying a coat of clear lacquer over a sheet of decals is not a bad idea, especially if they're older decals.
Guest Johnny Posted August 17, 2010 Posted August 17, 2010 I have had good luckwith doing that to ols sheets. But I also have had a couple where even that didn't help. Just remember that you have cut each one out as close to the color edge as possible as they will be thicker and the clear edges will stand out more if you don't!
TurboKitty Posted August 17, 2010 Posted August 17, 2010 I've been told by a few members here that it's perfectly fine to apply the decals to your painted model, and clearcoat it as a whole as well. I used to think it would make the decals craze or yellow, lol. Make sure if you print your own decals that you do spray them with a couple light mist coats of clear before applying so the ink doesn't run off : )
