where to find 1969 camaro engine and tranny

This may be a very dumb question. I am trying to start work on a revell 1/12th scale 1969 camaro and being a larger size it has potential to super detail the entire kit. However every time i do a search for pics on the engine and tranny i never get any pics of them out side of the car, always already installed in the car. In order to get every wire and cable correct on the engine and tranny im looking to get a few good shots of a motor and tranny that has yet to be installed. Does any one have any idea where I can go on the net to find something like this?

First we would need to know what engine and trans you plan on putting in the car? I have a real 69 Camaro with a small block Chevy and a Turbo 350 transmission. I can help you out with any questions you may have on that particular setup.

You might be better off looking at Corvette restorations, as they're easier to work on with the body off the frame.
