charlie Posted February 15, 2007 Posted February 15, 2007 I prefer tan color kits over white kits because you can tell where the mold marks and injection pins are at.so it easy to sand all the mold marks off of the bodys.what are your thought of of this
monsterman Posted February 15, 2007 Posted February 15, 2007 I'm with you Charlie I like the tan colored kits better I HATE colored kits such as kits molded in RED, etc..
Billy Kingsley Posted February 16, 2007 Posted February 16, 2007 I've only built one kit molded in tan, and it was horrible. No glue would stick to it and the parts were hard to paint. It was the AMT 50 Chevy Pickup Custom. Give me white, red, yellow, green, blue WHATEVER before more kits molded in that nasty tan!
jbwelda Posted February 17, 2007 Posted February 17, 2007 im not so sure your problems with that kit had to do with the tan plastic though...ive built a couple in tan and never had a problem with it. maybe it was *the* plastic but i dont think it was because it was tan. could be wrong though i guess...
MadKawDisease Posted February 17, 2007 Posted February 17, 2007 I haven't worked with any tan kits yet, butt , I do like the lite grey kits better then white. It should be a crime to mold a kit in any dark color ! lol.
