So in between all else I am working on, such as Snoball redux, Vettes for my kids, I have started to build a 67 Charger. I was at the LHS the other day, saw the reissue, already have two, and bought it. I like the look of the drag version, so....

Anyway, between the other stuff on the bench, I am toying with a layout for the build, aiming for a 70's-ish "Street Fighter" feel. So I started working on the HEMI and decided that the I want to use the new slicks and wheels from the Hemi Dart kit, since my first build of that one will be as delivered with no slicks, per a pick I found on the web....

So, on the my question, I need more clearance out back for those killer looking slicks. I am considering moving the leaf springs inward to make some add'l room for the wider tires. Would it be correct, or at least reasonable so to move the springs and pockets to the sub fram rail and attache them there? I would put them inside the rails, but that would require a MAJOR rework as the fule tank is in the way.

So, any thoughts, comments and suggestions are always welcomed.

thanks

forgot to mention too, with a little stretching of the wheel openings those M&H Racemasters from the Dart fit the wheelwells of the '67 Charger quite well.
