Madd Trucker Posted September 17, 2010 Posted September 17, 2010 Being an American I really dont know much about European trucks. What I am looking for is any info on Twin Steer trucks for a project I am working on and with the kit and parts I have mentioned above . 1 Will I have to extend the front half of the frame to accept the new added front suspenion and axle . Or can I go with the main frame an add the springs and steering axle. 2 I know I will have to extend the rear of the frame to accept the added drive axle and will have to make a drive shaft for it. 3 American rig for the most part have straight Frames and European rigs have bowed forward frames at the front . From some of the builds I have seen on this site they gained my interest in building one. what what parts I have the rears will have 4 bag air ride suspenion . 4 Also thinking this wil move the mentioned truck to a higher weight class .I hope this new info helps with what Iam looks for . What I an buiding will be the Mercedes Benz 1854 with 4 bag air ride Tandum drive and have enought parts to build a complete truck plus a spare frame complete front axle and springs with luck may add a third steer axle
