DRG Posted September 18, 2010 Posted September 18, 2010 Being a child of the fifties I would have to use one of these three options. Keystone Mag Wheels Crager Mag Wheels Chrome Reverse with Baby Moons. but that's just me.
george 53 Posted September 18, 2010 Posted September 18, 2010 Ulf, it really just depends on what look your going for. The last one, with the Cragars on front an the Steelies in the back are more my speed. That's the look we tried for back then.(Late 60's early70's)
gman Posted September 18, 2010 Posted September 18, 2010 looking for some wheel option I think the American Racing 5 spoke big/littles with tires from one of the Revell '32 Fords would look sweet on that, properly painted in the centers of course.
Space Cowboy Posted September 18, 2010 Posted September 18, 2010 Man that is a tuff one on which wheels to go with. Maybe steelies in back and american mags front??

Brutalform Posted September 22, 2010 Posted September 22, 2010 You have the same problem as me, trying to decide which wheels for the 66 Fairlane. I was going to use the leftover steel wheels from my Hubert Platt Thunder Bolt kit, as they are Ford in design. But I am still up in the air about those, or going with a full drag rim out back. Got a few reference pics for you to see.
DanielG Posted September 22, 2010 Posted September 22, 2010 I would go with the five spoke type, gives it a tougher look.
AzTom Posted September 29, 2010 Posted September 29, 2010 I have always like these Fairlanes. This one looks like it's going to be a great one. AzTom

Cato Posted October 9, 2010 Posted October 9, 2010 Ufe, Nice work so far. I would display it without the air cleaner as your carbs are very good to start. If you add linkage, hoses, spring, and carb opening detail, it would be a knockout. Here's some reference to help you:
