codie27 Posted September 24, 2010 Posted September 24, 2010 Hey guys, I remember going to Motorvation one year to drool over this thing after following its build up in magazines. Since seeing Lombardo's Allison Special on the workbench I was reminded of the Chev once again. It was built here in Australia by Rod Hadfield to prove that with the right engineering and execution a 3000hp car could get full registration, the build took 5 years full time work and if I remember right most of the work was done by one of Rods employees. It had a heap of innovative ideas I cant think of them all but some where the cooling system being incorporated into the roll cage, it had its own hydraulic jacking system set into the chassis, the body was completely removable and could still be driven without it. The paint job was based on a P-51 Mustang 'blue nose' fighter plane and had something like 3000 airbrushed rivets over the body. Anyway I dont know if anybody here has ever seen it so I thought it might give somebody some idea for a wild build. It would be way beyond my capabilities at the moment!! Enjoy and I hope it gives you guys some ideas.
