The Modeling Hermit Posted October 1, 2010 Posted October 1, 2010 This is a 53 Ford that I built awhile back. A post on a different section of the forum jarred my memory of it. This was a fun kit to build, except for the fender skirts. No matter what side of the car I placed them on, they look like they're backwards. I was smart in that I glued them on with a water based glue. That way I can redo them some time in the future. I added some spinners from the parts box to the hubcaps. This was actually built to reflect a 54 Ford that I had back in the early seventies. They were really a fun car to drive. I loved the sound of the Y block engine through the duals.
impcon Posted October 1, 2010 Posted October 1, 2010 Sure is pretty!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Nice colors and detail.. The fender skirts really make those cars although they are really such a pretty car with or without the skirts. Sweet build for sure!!!!!!
Jim Gibbons Posted October 1, 2010 Posted October 1, 2010 Very nice! I also built this kit; (it's in my gallery,) as I also had a '54 Ford that I bought in '77. I painted mine in the same colors as my 1:1, too.
