JRobinson Posted October 4, 2010 Posted October 4, 2010 (edited) I'm really fascinated with the old Tamiya 1/24 Porsche 936 and Alpine Turbo racers. I have found some for sale, but since they are collector's items, they are pretty pricey. Has anybody built either of these? I'd love to hear what others think about these kits. CAL Posted October 4, 2010 Posted October 4, 2010 I have the kits but haven't built them. They are kind of basic, but look good. I am sure they build up nice as most all Tamiya kits do.
Nova-ss Posted October 4, 2010 Posted October 4, 2010 I have a couple 936 and I believe a 935 as well.I to have not built them yet,but have plans to do so soon.....but that don't help.Tamiya builds very well.I have very much enjoyed and enjoy the kits I have built.you can't go wrong buying Tamiya....in my opinion. Thanks,Chris
935k3 Posted October 5, 2010 Posted October 5, 2010 (edited) They make nice models. Here is two I built. I did replace the headlights with MV lenses. Make sure the Alpine in the more recent issue because the decals are much better. Studio 27 does decals for different versions of these kits. Edited October 5, 2010 by 935k3
Junkman Posted October 7, 2010 Posted October 7, 2010 WOW! How did you make the fringes, if I may ask?
