AzTom Posted October 7, 2010 Posted October 7, 2010 This is the 1/10 scale Parma Hemi engine, originally the MPC Garlits engine. I built this about six years ago for a store display and was the first model I painted with an air brush. I may have to find a 1/10 car to put this in AzTom
comp1839 Posted October 8, 2010 Posted October 8, 2010 very cool. now all you need is to scratch a dragster chassis for it to sit in.
AzTom Posted October 9, 2010 Author Posted October 9, 2010 Thanks, I could drop it in the bed of a Nylint Econoline pickup AzTom
AzTom Posted October 9, 2010 Author Posted October 9, 2010 are these things still available? i built one of these a long time ago! i have most of it still, but it is missing alot of parts. Dave I sold our store 4 years ago so I'll have to check on that..........Yep, Parma still has them on their web site. AzTom
envious8420 Posted October 9, 2010 Posted October 9, 2010 They did a Hemi and a Small Block Chevy. Hemi http://www3.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin/wti0001p?&I=LXDA79&P=ML http://cgi.ebay.com/Parma-Hemi-Motor-Scale-Model-Kit-1-10th-/370442203869?pt=Radio_Control_Parts_Accessories&hash=item56401372dd SBC Im having trouble finding the sbc, starting to think it may be out of production?
Greg Myers Posted October 9, 2010 Posted October 9, 2010 The Small Block Chevy's were actually Ford Y blocks from the Lindberg 1/8th dragster kit. An other interesting point , look at the HEMI, it has two different injector systems,a "bug Catcher " style and a barrel type. I don't think you'd use them both at once.
