Hey all you tipster guru's out there. When I was active duty in the Air Force, I had to put a bunch of my kits in storage while I went to Japan. Several of them were WIP so they got tossed in a ziplock and then sealed in a box. I am finally getting set up to start building again thanks to my upcoming "Top The Cop" contest. However, searching through some of the kits has shown windshields, that due to either TX heat or poor packing and storage on my behalf, have stuck to tires and painted pcs. and the like, leaving them with little dents and lines right through the middle. Any good tips to remove the screw up and replenish the clarity? Thanks in advance.

Thank you for your service, Barry! :D

Now on to your question, I haven't tried it yet, but I've heard the polishing systems for 1:1 headlights work well.

A polishing kit can be found at most hobby shops. It contains 8 separate grits of "sandpaper" from 1800 to 12,000 grit. You can also get plastic polish. I have two different types. One is sanding cloths, the other is sanding sponges. I prefer to use the sanding sponges on windshields and glass. Both types can be used wet or dry, but I prefer to use them wet. Follow the instructions, and often they're actually better than new. I've been restoring old models for something like thirty years, and I'm still amazed how how well these things work.

I use the polishing systems for 1:1 headlights too.if the glass is too bad may have to start off wet sanding with 1000+ and go up from there. Also I use it too buff the paint as well have too use care because it will rub the paint off the nut's,bolts and rivets.
