Mongoose hot wheels car

Has anyone used the newer mongoose kit to build the blue hotwheels car. I dont like the goofy roof spoiler on it, but I dont like the color layout of the other. Slixx makes a decal set for the hotwheels car. would it be horrible to build the hotwheels with out the scoop? Is there more that difers the two, that one would notice right away? I'm not into building actual race car repclicas but I would like to come close with one. I already have the red kit. I think its revell? have to dig it out. Any info would be great, thanks guys

Never mind, Ill just build it like it is, Does anyony know how well the decals cover? would it be best to get another set?
