This was my first Hot rod. It's revell's '32 5 window coupe 2 n 1. This is a great kit. I had been wanting to do a hotrod/ratrod build but I couldn't find anything at michaels or ac moore. then a friend of my dad's told me about a little hobby store about 30 minutes from my house called uncle joes woodshed. they've only just resently started selling model cars so there selection was pretty small, they had maybe 20 kits. but they had a bunch of cool kits that the other places weren't selling, plus they were way cheaper. I saw the kit and immediately grabbed it. I didn't do anything drastic with this one. I got the front tires from an old diecast truck, and the rear slicks from a friend. I have a thing for putting only one seat in my builds, I like the stripped interior look. I took the seat from what was left over after my 350r build. I like how it turned out but I noticed that the engine is leaning way towards the passenger side and the grille is turned to the right slightly, and I'm hesitant to fix it because I'll probably break it try to adjust anything.

This build is just fine for your first rod. Now that you've done one do some more. Look at this one and note what can be improved upon, then remember those areas in the next build. You seem to have a good grasp on basic building, so now's the time to push the bar a bit higher.

Maybe take a minute to review photos in magazines and on line. Look at pics of real cars and models. Take note how both the real cars and the models are built, see what features you like and make the attempt to replicate those.

There is no plagerism in modeling. If you see one of my builds and like the way I did something, USE IT!

Keep building young man!
