NorthernWolfman Posted November 19, 2010 Posted November 19, 2010 Hey guys, i was just cruzin the forum and saw something about painting with candy colors and basecoats. When you guys use that kind of paints how many coats do you put on? Is it one coat of each or is it just one coat of the candy color?
Lownslow Posted November 19, 2010 Posted November 19, 2010 2 coats base, and however many coats of candy you want till you get your depth
MikeMc Posted November 19, 2010 Posted November 19, 2010 Yes and no...with kandy paints...the more coats, the deeper the color, basecoats usually need 2 or 3 light coats to cover evenly in the HOK color chip book the kandys are shown over many different basecoats, with specific # of coats used over primer / base/..... lotsa work, but HOK does have kandy and basecoats together...close and nice
