Wiring in series multiplies the voltage available by the number of cells, wiring in parallel multiplies the amperage by the number of cells--from my 7th Grade Electrical Shop Class back in 1956.

To my understand from afew days ago is this, 6 Battery's at 1.5Voltage = 9voltage.

I all I needed was 9-12 voltage was all. I decided to go with the 9 voltage route with 1amp, but I also designed the project system to be or I should say the system can be at even time converted over to 12 volts 2amps instead 9volts and 1amp that it is now.
