revshag Posted November 22, 2010 Posted November 22, 2010 Hey guys, a few months ago we moved. I've got my model area set up in the basement. It's a musty basement, and maybe a bit on the damp side. I've done some airbrushing (I have a moisture trap on my compressor). I haven't had any major problems. It did seem like when I sprayed a couple of bodies that the color wasn't going down the best. Is the environment of my basement affecting the paint? Would a dehumidifier help? I appreciate any insight you might have. Chris
camaroman Posted November 22, 2010 Posted November 22, 2010 I would say yes to the dehumidifier question!
LoneWolf15 Posted November 23, 2010 Posted November 23, 2010 Yes , Dampness will play havoc , the dehumidifier will certainly help !Once the furnace kicks on , it will get even worse ! Donn Yost
Agent G Posted November 29, 2010 Posted November 29, 2010 Yes and oh hell yes. When I lived in the midwest with it's high humidity I used a dehumidifier religiously. I once watched paint bead up and bounce off a body due to the humidity. Now I have the exact opposite problem. G
