crazyjim Posted November 24, 2010 Posted November 24, 2010 The mailman delivered my order from Al Raab - Ma's Resin a little while ago. Got the Desert Dog tires and beadlock wheels as well as some clear Aluminite and red dye. Now I can get back to work on the way up in the air Dodge D50 and try casting some translucent red taillights.
diymirage Posted November 24, 2010 Posted November 24, 2010 hows it all looking ? i put in an order earlier this week for some wheels, tires and go fast goodies and i cant wait for mine to get here its my first time dealing with them so im as giddy as a schoolgirl
Eshaver Posted November 24, 2010 Posted November 24, 2010 I can vouch for Ma's and Alan Raab. He's all that and a case of RARE KITS TOO !!!!!!!!!! Ed Shaver
crazyjim Posted November 25, 2010 Author Posted November 25, 2010 If you mean the D50, Eelco, it's coming along. I've scratch built the rear leaf spring suspension and can now start the front end. Body work is almost done. A 426 wedge will be going in it. Al does some excellent work. This is my second or third order with him and plan to do more in the future.
jbwelda Posted November 25, 2010 Posted November 25, 2010 i just got the nuts and bolts sheet, a few of them. excellent quality with minimum or no cleanup aside from sanding them off the base sheet. these are gonna look great on my 1/8 offy motor.
imatt88 Posted November 25, 2010 Posted November 25, 2010 I just went and checked out his stuff. Nice Will have to keep him in mind for future projects
diymirage Posted November 25, 2010 Posted November 25, 2010 cant go wrong with a 426 got any pics of the D50 up yet ?
crazyjim Posted November 25, 2010 Author Posted November 25, 2010 I usually don't post WIP pics - don't know why not. I was looking at the D50 last night and it appears the the front end is higher then the rear. I want it the opposite or at least level. This scratch building is sorta fun but a pain in the butt

This scratch building is sorta fun but a pain in the butt it can be tricky getting things just right of course, if it were me, id say im building a "take off shot" you know how a vehicle kinda squats when it first comes of the line
crazyjim Posted November 26, 2010 Author Posted November 26, 2010 Yesterday I ripped off the rear suspension and am starting over. This time I'm going to try 2 shocks at each corner. I want this puppy level.
crazyjim Posted November 27, 2010 Author Posted November 27, 2010 Not yet, Chris. I'm trying to balance a remodel of both bathrooms and the kitchen, getting the Christmas decorations together, fixing a hose reel, and both vehicles need to be washed. I did get a clear coat on a purple '37 Chevy this morning. Hopefully next week I'll be able to post some pics.
