hogs29 Posted March 6, 2007 Posted March 6, 2007 Hey guys! I have a 1/8 Monogram 1985 Corvette that I have been putting off building for quite a few years. Problem is, I want to build a model of my car, but the wheels are all wrong. I need a set of '95 ZR-1 wheels like this: Does anyone know how I would go about making a set of these? My scratchbuilding skills are somewhat limited, but I'm willing to give anything a try. I just need some ideas as to where to start, what to use, etc... Thanks! 8)
old-hermit Posted March 7, 2007 Posted March 7, 2007 Those are very similar to some RC wheels I've seen. Check the net or your local RC store and if you find a similar set all you will probably have to do is alter the center to match the Vette. A lot easier than creating a whole new wheel. I'm not sure but I think the 22mm will fit most 1/8th kit tires.
hogs29 Posted March 7, 2007 Author Posted March 7, 2007 Thank you, thank you, thank you!!! I just took a quick look at some RC websites, and there seems to be a couple that look almost perfect. With just a little modification, they'll look the part.
