Help With AMT Concept Camaro

I cannot fit the body of my AMT concept Camaro properly to the chassis; it does not seat correctly in the front so the wheels and wheel wells do not align. I have some ideas about trimming chassis parts to help it slide into place but only as a last resort. I searched and found some comments about this from other builders but no solutions. Others appear to build it without this problem.

Help! I appreciate any and all help.
