forthlin Posted December 7, 2010 Posted December 7, 2010 (edited) I'm building a model I've had around 8-10 years & when I put one of the decals in water it comes off in pieces. I tried Microscales liquid decal film & that made no difference. Is it okay to try & spray a coat of gloss or dull clearcoat over the decal film to see if that helps? If so, should it be lacquer or enamel? I'd really like to save the rest of the decal sheet if possible. Edited December 7, 2010 by forthlin
diymirage Posted December 7, 2010 Posted December 7, 2010 iether clear or dull coat will work fine (just remember to cut close the the decal) acrylic or laquer doesnt really matter as long as you allow everything to dry properly
forthlin Posted December 8, 2010 Author Posted December 8, 2010 Thanks diymirage, hopefully this saves them.
