crazyjim Posted December 19, 2010 Posted December 19, 2010 I'm planning to attend and display a few builds at JaxCon 2011 (IPMS, Jacksonville, FL, February 5, 2011. I haven't done a show in about 30 years and was just wondering what people do for packing their builds for a show. I'll be driving to/from the show.
knucklehead Posted December 19, 2010 Posted December 19, 2010 Hey Jim. I don't know much about takin them to shows, but........How bout a shoe box sized Rubbermaid container with lid. Line the container with fiberfill or polyfiber and cover with a piece of saran wrap to keep the fiberfill from getiing caught on the models. Just a quick thought.
crazyjim Posted December 19, 2010 Author Posted December 19, 2010 Thanks Larry. I like the Rubbermaid idea. Strong & light. I was thinking wrapping the builds with the bubble wrap stuff. Maybe Saran Wrap first to keep any stray parts together. I guess I should plan on bringing some glue and other items for on the spot repairs.
