bigphoto Posted December 29, 2010 Posted December 29, 2010 Does anyone know if anyone picked up the line or if someone could put me in contact with Mike or Russ to see if they would be willing to make a limited run of some item?
Bowtienutz Posted December 29, 2010 Posted December 29, 2010 I'll send a message to Mike see if he can help.
Mike Kucaba Posted December 29, 2010 Posted December 29, 2010 S&S became Autodynamics and that was sold to Arrowhead aluminum.
Seattle Mike Posted December 29, 2010 Posted December 29, 2010 Tim - I haven't been involved with the business in a number of years. I sold it to Duane at Arrowhead just before his health problems took hold. I wish I could help you out.
Trae Posted December 29, 2010 Posted December 29, 2010 (edited) IIRC, (from an old issue of either SAE or CM, I can probably dig through my magazine stash & see), S&S was renamed Detail Resources by Mike after Russ dropped out. I can verify that. He also offered a few new products under the new name, including a line of chrome adhesive-backed scripts and emblems, similar to those found in some foreign kits. That was about the time I lost touch with the hobby - I have no idea how long the "new" company lasted. Edit - I see Mike has arrived. Hi Mike! Edited December 29, 2010 by Trae
jbwelda Posted December 30, 2010 Posted December 30, 2010 they made some great stuff and i liked how the photoetch was on a rubber backing, easily dissolved in thinner, instead of being on frets. sure solved the problem of that little nib still being attached, no matter how close i think i am cutting it.
