Chad Posted January 13, 2011 Posted January 13, 2011 Dear Tim, this probably belongs in a personal message, but here goes....it is definitely truck related so I thought I would post this here. Thank you for what you do in the hobby, I remember when I was a young( er ) kid building model( when plasticcowboy.com was still up and you ran it ). I remember looking on that site for all of your builds and sending in 2 of my models ( an early kenworth snap kit and a ford ltl9000--lone wolf ) that I mated to a livestock trailer I built...I remember looking at your other builds and realizing how much my builds could have been better....you have insprired me as a model builder since I really got into this hobby...just a little bit ago I was cruising your site again and saw you with the make a wish foundation AGAIN MAKING DREAMS COME TRUE!!! I just wanted to say thank you for what you do for the personality, and well being, as well as the creative level of this hobby, I also want to say thank you for what you do OUTSIDE of this hobby. Working with the make a wish foundation is most definitely a MAJOR achievement and with my final life goals I can once again look up to you....and in doing so I say thank you sir for who you are. Chad Hessey I'm sure other builders will agree with this but I wanted them to see it as well
Ben Posted January 14, 2011 Posted January 14, 2011 I agree! Tim really has done a lot for our hobby and most people are not aware of just how many things he has had a hand in.
Nova-ss Posted January 14, 2011 Posted January 14, 2011 Very well said.I've followed alot of what tim has done and he has done more then we will ever know but still the same it amazing to me what he does and how he does it.if I lived even somewhere close I would thank him in person....but I don't so I will as well thank him for all the efforts he has put to our hobby we all share...Thank you Tim and thanks for all your help.Chris
The Modeling Hermit Posted January 15, 2011 Posted January 15, 2011 I'll second what the others said. It was your work that inspired me to start detailing my trucks. I'm nowhere even close to your level, but because of your inspiration, my models are at least more interesting to look at.
ratfinktrucker Posted January 16, 2011 Posted January 16, 2011 Very well said. Tim's Trucks website is on the top of my favorites list. Whenever I need a little inspiration, I go there, look around, and usually end up back on the bench working on another big rig. Thanks Tim for all you do.
