stewart Posted February 1, 2011 Posted February 1, 2011 (edited) This is a model I have been working on for a while. It is actually the result of a poorly done model that I did not like and took apart. It has a lot of body work on it. I added a rear diffuser, extended the hood a half an inch, grafted a corvette L88 hood scoop to the hood, turboed the engine, lowered the suspension, and used some wheels and tires from a Revell IMSA Mustang kit. rear diffuser Whole car. body work is done Rear Suspension with scratchbuilt shocks from aluminum tubing and pen springs The engine Edited February 1, 2011 by stewart
stewart Posted February 1, 2011 Author Posted February 1, 2011 It is nearing completion. The clear coat is now drying on the body and I have to finish plumbing the turbos and exhaust when the body is done. The wing The chassis The engine STewart

stewart Posted February 3, 2011 Author Posted February 3, 2011 It is all finished. I used some dry-transfer decals from a set for Pine Derby cars (they have a lot of really good decals for these cars) for the word on the door. It is painted with Testors Lacquer Blazing Black and Boyd Red from an airbrush. The air filters are made from 1/4 inch round plastic stock grooved with a razor saw. Turbos are made from solder intake was scratchbuilt. Headers were made from .62 solder and collectors from heat shrink tubing. The radiator is from the AMT viper kit (this is Revell's Viper GTS) wheels are from a Revell IMSA mustang kit. Coilovers were made from Pen springs and K&S tubing. Rear wing is made from two wings - the lower part is the spoiler from a Revell '98 Saleen Speedster and the upper part is from the Revell Acura RSX-S kit. STewart
