SpreadAxle Posted April 16, 2007 Author Posted April 16, 2007 The frame is in the ER so to speak. I thought I had it's "travel box" secure, but it fell, so the rear suspension is undergoing a little surgery. No real damage, I just have to put it back together. I will have a progress pic or two later this eveing. I have the auxiliary transmission installed. Which brings me towards starting on the other rear of frame details. I need to get the hydraulic tank in place, as well as decide on a deck plate. Then onward to the engine. I decided to hold off on working the cab until the frame is further along and the engine reinstalled. Not too far to go, I just have to work steady. I spent the afternoon replacing the condensor on my truck(the workbench on wheels must have a/c), so now it's back to the workbench.
Old Albion Posted April 20, 2007 Posted April 20, 2007 Ray, I would love to see how the drivers dump these type of double trailers and how they reverse them? Wow!! Must take a lot of skill. 8)
SpreadAxle Posted April 21, 2007 Author Posted April 21, 2007 It does. I never drove doubles, but I am licensed for it. As 4 how they are dumped, I believe the train is broken up first, but I'm not sure.
SpreadAxle Posted April 21, 2007 Author Posted April 21, 2007 here is the cab before it was stripped it. it's in the sanding/primer stage now. this will be the paint scheme. the stripes are from the autocar dump truck kit.
