sandpaper grit

Hello guys,

Just a quick question...What grit sandpaper do you guys use after your primer coat just before you paint the model.

600 for enamel, 2000 for laquer.

Are you using a compound to "sand" with or have you actually attached some sand paper to the brush? Could you post a picture? I'm curious about this one.
