rocsas2 Posted February 24, 2011 Posted February 24, 2011 i am starting a c-cab rat rod made of random parts. it will have a chain driven rear axel, a extended front axel, and a nice big block motar. the chassis is from a 1932 ford kit. i plan on doing my very first weathered paint job.will have front spoke rims and 5 slots on the back. will have a flatbed with beer barrels. so it will look like a old beer truck. almost all suspension is chrome. there will be many things i have not done before on this model.i whould take pictures but our camera is dead.will post pics soon though of a basic mockup.
rocsas2 Posted February 24, 2011 Author Posted February 24, 2011 (edited) found some batteries!! Edited February 24, 2011 by rocsas2
Jon Cole Posted February 24, 2011 Posted February 24, 2011 (edited) Are any of these kits involved? They are some of what your descrip made me think of... Edited February 24, 2011 by Jon Cole
rocsas2 Posted February 24, 2011 Author Posted February 24, 2011 (edited) the body is from the beer wagon and so is the chain drive axel and barrels thanks. Edited February 24, 2011 by rocsas2
GTMust Posted February 24, 2011 Posted February 24, 2011 (edited) It's going to be fun watching this one develop. Some great ideas starting here. Just a small detail but I think the rear chains should droop downward (gravity, you know.). Edited February 24, 2011 by GTMust
rocsas2 Posted February 24, 2011 Author Posted February 24, 2011 (edited) i put the basic suspension together. the front axel is togetherand set the rear in place to see ride hight and i like it. the chains will need a lot of work. Edited February 24, 2011 by rocsas2
rocsas2 Posted February 24, 2011 Author Posted February 24, 2011 i put the suspension on and then i decided to make a bed. the further i go the more i do not think it will look right with a weathered paint job.
rocsas2 Posted February 25, 2011 Author Posted February 25, 2011 i painted the frame and body and rebuilt the motor. but i think the frame needs to be longer for the look im going for.
rocsas2 Posted February 25, 2011 Author Posted February 25, 2011 i have made the frame longer to fit the vision im going for now i just need to paint it.
