Tonioseven Posted March 23, 2007 Posted March 23, 2007 Okay since I already have about 8,984,562 projects going, I figure one more can't hurt . I had on a purple shirt today and a member on another board suggested a quick weekend build for the fun of the hobby; I also just got these sweet decals from the 'bay as well so the twisted little wheels started turning and the next thing I knew, I was shakin' a can of Plum Crazy  I might not get finished this weekend but I'm having a ball with one so far!!:grinyes: I'm still waiting for things for my Ferraris so I have to stay motivated Thanks for looking.
RJWood Posted March 25, 2007 Posted March 25, 2007 The purple paint looks great, keep up the good work. I am also doing this same kit, mine was the coupe/pick-up kit. decided on the coupe. but dident like the rear tires in the kit, so I used the tires from the Lindburg 64' Dodge 330 "color me gone" kit. and parts box cragar mags.
Tired of kit bashing Posted March 25, 2007 Posted March 25, 2007 Both builds sound and look great !!!! I just got done puting on my final coat of met paint and now I'm just waiting for the paint to dry and then next decals !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
RJWood Posted March 26, 2007 Posted March 26, 2007 Looks like you laid down a nice shiniy smooth paint job. on that fastback Nova, can't wait to see it finished. the color is great! a very unique build. hopefully I can post pics of my willys soon, I still need to get a photo sharing site.
RJWood Posted March 26, 2007 Posted March 26, 2007 Antonio, I was wondering if those decals came with your kit? my kit had no decals. so Im going to use the decals from the Revell '68 Firebird 400 (what a great kit that is) if you are familar with that kit the decals I want to use are the ones that say MIDWEST AUTO PARTS Detroit, Mich. this will be on each side. maybe I should just get off my lazy bottom and get some pics posted, It might be better than wrighting a novel to explain it.
RJWood Posted March 26, 2007 Posted March 26, 2007 was trying to post some pics but having problems. The biggest is Today I am Babysitting my 4 year old grandson and he likes to talk (and I mean talk) and my concintration is gone. I will try later when Grandma gets home.
Guest roadkill2525 Posted March 27, 2007 Posted March 27, 2007 The Midwest decals are from Mike Fons' 67 A/Modified Camaro.
RJWood Posted March 27, 2007 Posted March 27, 2007 roadkill2525, Im not trying to replicate any car inpaticular. this build is just for fun. but thanks for an interresting photo of the Midwest auto parts Camaro. I wonder why revell included these in the 68 Firebird kit? I never intended to use the Midwest decals on the Firebird kit so I will use them on the Willys. Just trying for a period look. P.S. sorry for the huge pics, but I think Ive got it figured out.
Guest roadkill2525 Posted March 28, 2007 Posted March 28, 2007 The picture came from my HOT ROD Archives Series #5 Camaros 40th Anniversary issue, Im wondering why its in the Firebird kit also. My set might go on my Dodge Ram VTS shop truck is I ever finish it.
