935k3 Posted March 2, 2011 Posted March 2, 2011 Ok so what's the difference between decal setting solution and decal solvent solution Decal set is used under the decal to prep the model surface. Solvent is applied on top of the decal to get it to conform and lay down. Be careful with the solvents they may be too strong for the decals you are using. The strongest solvent is Champ Decal solvent then Solvaset then Microsol brand. All are too strong for Tamiya kit decals. I use a hot damp cloth to make them lay down and sometimes a hair dryer on low and moving.
rdevotie Posted March 2, 2011 Author Posted March 2, 2011 I got testors decal set & solvent and it will be used on a revell 65 chevy stepside pickup which has a lot of decals
