Craft store carb stacks

I'm sure they have a specific location in each store, but I stumbled upon them on a hanging rack in one of the scrapbooking aisles(?)

They look perfect. They could be used for tail light housings too. Vent holes on a custom. My lady friend always said I need to look farther than the model aisle in those craft stores. And now I will. Patrick M

I picked up a pack of those after seeing your post here. The T looks great BTW. Another thing I thought they could be used for is the turbo inlet you see in the nose of a lot of turbo cars

Thanks for the kudos. I was thinking about turbo inlets too, Joe, but I have a feeling that you may need larger than 3/16" to make them look right.

A couple of tips : chuck them in your Dremel and polish them with Novus,they look even better. Again,chuck them in your Dremel and turn down the outside diameter and re shape the edge; this takes some practice but is well worth the effort. Ream out the inside diameter with the appropriate size drill bit so they slip over K&S aluminium tubing for ease of assembly. I found the hardest thing was finding an appropriate manifold,most '8 hole' manifolds are not spaced with the holes far enough apart to use these (thus,the 'diameter' tip.) You can drop colored round head 'map' pins into the openings to duplicate those tennis balls (etc) you would see in the injector stacks when you walked through the pits at any dragstrip... Also most are not flat on the bottom and need minor filing. BTW,these are also available in colors and brass if you be so inclined..........Steven Zimmerman
