Truth of the matter is life can be rough and disappointing at times. There are times when it takes everything you have to get out of bed. That's life.

But there are usually things that make it a little easier and more enjoyable. Building model cars ranks right up there with me. It gives me something for me. Sounds selfish doesn't it. But it keeps me balanced and walking the path before me.

Another thing that keeps me focused is family.

These are the things that enable me to face life, enjoy life.

I build models to relax, to calm down after "one of those days" and to stay focused on what is most important in my life.

Family.

What keeps me going? A powerful need to eat, and an unwavering desire for warm and cozy.

Besides that; my family back home in Florida, my friends, and my fuzzy/scaly buddies. Mortgage and utility bills are a "need to do' thing, but my little critters are a 'want to do' thing.

I wouldn't say models even play a part in keeping me going, but they do keep me from killing!

Being a divorced parent where my lil' baby girl lives with me,knowing that she depends on me....waking up in the morning to get her ready for her day,and at night when the day is done and she is put to bed,I check on her, seeing her fast asleep with her stuffed animal cling to her...then I smile and think "wow I did it another day again" and that's what makes it all worth while..... "Love you Baby Gil" ;)
