what to use exhaust and air intake

hey guys

on my arff truck and up coming trucks. they will be all 1/12 scale

i need to make an exhaust and a intake breather hose for the turbocharger

the exhaust looks like 3/8 inch and air intake hose 1/2 inch.

the the turbo intake i need an elbow 1/2. not really sure how to bend or what to use

my suggestion for the intake is....vacuum hose

it will be the perfect look since it is the right material and can be bought very cheaply at your local auto parts store

(or order of ebay in a rainbow of colours)

for the exhaust im not sure

you might be able to bend the kit supplied exhaust or maybe use some styrene rod/tube?

normally i would suggest solder but i honoustly dont know if it comes in that size

im sure you could get brass rod in the right size, maybe that would do the trick ?

(come to think of it, i think i have some aluminum tubing that should be close, its what i used for the side pipes on this car)

they might be tough to bend smoothly though

thanks, there were a lot of firsts in that build for me but im really pleased at the way it came out (not too mention it earned me some brownie points with the girl on the hood)

so, did you make it out to the parts store and find anything good ?
