Ok so i foiled and cleared my tiny 57 chevy a few days ago. I placed it in what i call my cooking cabinet with a sign that says "anyone who opens these doors will take a long dirt nap" and i sealed it with evidence tape so i would see if the doors were opened. After about a week of curing i looked at the cabinet and it was still sealed. I thought hey sweet threats do work so my mom was wrong about that subject. I carfully opened the doors and made sure no evil creatures were around so i can remove this little sexy thing and see her in the sun. So after double checking i took it out and BAM....................... There was a hair in the clear that wasn't there when i put it in. I mean it was so bad it was like a booger hanging outta supermodel's nose B) . And of all places it was right on the candy part too. So i had to wet sand it and reshoot it but now im gonna raise hell with a vaccume cleaner in that cabinet.

Kevin.....the vac might be the problem...static electricity.

Mist it down with windex or tap water, let it drip dry, mop the floor with a towel by blotting. I might suggest a bounty fabric softener sheet taped down to the floor....it will help reduce static charges B);)

I feel ya kev!

i always seem to mess up my paint jobs.

the first high quality one i did turned out good, but when i was letting the lear dry up(very last coat, 2 coats primer, 7 coats paint, then 8 coats clear) i dropped it and chipped everything down to bare plastic.
