VW Dave
After using the body for a tutorial on channeling(on another board), and a visit to the 'Right Coast Rods' exhibit at our local auto museum, I decided to make a finished car out of my little deuce...and it's almost there. The inspiration, Fred Steele's historic east coast hot rod: Rolling chassis after modest lowering: Paint-detailed OOB flatty: Unchopped grille shell channeled to match the body: Finished enough(read: 'taped together') for the NNL's primer table: There's more to see at the link, and I'm hoping to wrap it up soon: SURF'S UP!!! VW Dave
color is right on...TS60? Thanks, and you are right, it is TS-60 pearl green. I bought the paint about 3 years ago because it was sooo cool, but didn't have the right model to put it on until now. I'm not adding any more gloss to it, because I want it to look like a well-preserved but used 40+ year-old car(like Steele's purple roadster)
