I was thinking, I 'm graduating high school in a few days and i was thinking about what it'll be like when i get my own place someday, and this thought popped into my head. How would I store my models so they wouldn't break during the move? I was hoping you guys could give me some ideas.

After my davorse,I had to move from house to apartment. First,I got a stack of newspapers(to wrap up each build)Second, peanuts(packing foam) Third, bubble plastic(the poppers). I,wrapped up each build with the newspaper-a couple of pages for each one. Then fill the bottom of the box with peanuts-foam or bubble plastic.Lay each model side by side and in between each layer lay some thin Styrofoam or crumpled news paper or cardboard. Just fill the box up to where you can put a layer of bubble plastic on top and seal shut with good clear tape. Also remember to write on the box what was put in it and last but not least write in BIG letters - FRAGILE-MODELS!!! Keep the newspaper wrap kinda loose as to not break off mirrors and such. This should give you a little something to go on and adjust to what you think would work for ya. Best of luck ;)

i used boxes i found at my job, they used to have computer boards in them

they were the size of shoeboxes so i could fit 3 models in there and they had a pad of the "eggcrate" foam on the bottom and top

if you can find something similar your good

I agree with this method, and have used it several times moving house.

My only suggestion is that instead of newspaper, you'll find toilet paper is actually much kinder on your models. It's soft and doesn't want to scratch the paint or rip off mirrors etc.
