For my custom '06 Shelby GT-H American Le Mans prototype, I'm making my roll cage form scratch of course. So, I'll post it below (as it is mostly complete)

Here it is with my modded 2003 Revell Nascar racing seat I'll use too (I still need to find a way to raise it and what not)

Comments and criticism would be welcome, I know I didn't give a full view, just more of an overview so you guys get the idea.

Jake,

As a constructive criticism, I think the roll cage can be improved by looking at prototypical cages. I know "it's just a model" and you may not want to go nuts for realism, but looking at real chassis designs can't hurt.

Here's a Mustang drag race set-up from S&W Racecars:

You could eliminate the driver inner halo to be more like the endurance cars but you'll get the idea. You could search more and probably find Sebring and Daytona style cages to copy.

Best luck and keep posting.

Thanks for that.

I will look into expanding it more for sure. I have some more bars still but I gotcha. This was my idea I was going off of to start though

I was just basing it on a more commercial roll cage, but after you showing me that site I will probably add more to it for sure. Thanks!
