Are there any "Reporters" working for any of the modeling magazines?

I remember a long time ago a model magazine or book put out sometime in the early sixty's that had a great article in it about how model kits were made. I'd like to see some articles that get to the source, by someone that takes them to task.

Greg, this is a great idea.

Do a "then & now" story.

I've heard that by the time some kits get to the shelf, the wrapped box has seen 4 different countries.

Is that really true?
