Guest Johnny Posted June 19, 2011 Posted June 19, 2011 Wish I had the income. My old boss at the sod farm (last place I drove truck for) offered to give me the old truck I drove for him. A 1979 Transtar II, Cummins big cam 400 with a Fuller 13 speed ! Said he will leave it sitting in the barn for a couple years yet in case I can eventually take it! It is a running truck. I did an in frame on it back in 1996 just before I got hurt. Only a little over 100.000 on the rebuild. The only thing that didn't work was the AC! The owners son puled all the AC stuff off when it was torn down because he didn't want to spend the cash to make it work again! Truck has less than 400,00 on it and is a one owner bought new by the owners dad! Spent most of it's life hauling grain! Would be a good truck to rebuild and show as it is in pretty good mechanical shape. Interior would take some work, they kind of trashed it since I was taking care of it. Pea green with dark green striping!
