h3ae86 Posted June 26, 2011 Posted June 26, 2011 My aunt just bought me revell's '68 dodge dart hemi and i cut out the fenders but i cut to much from the one side and was wondering if testors contour putty could fix it because its all i have and i don't have the money for a new body or for another putty. All i need to do is round out the fender.
h3ae86 Posted June 26, 2011 Author Posted June 26, 2011 Maybe try "patching" it with styrene? no i don't any styrene but that does give me an idea, Thanks.
Agent G Posted June 27, 2011 Posted June 27, 2011 There are many sources of styrene available for cheap. Plastic eating utensils, plastic "For Sale" signs, old credit/debit/ATM cards. Sprue from the kit is right there and the same plastic. G
SuperStockAndy Posted June 27, 2011 Posted June 27, 2011 I like the "For Sale" signs. I'm to cheap to buy real stuff so I just use those
h3ae86 Posted June 27, 2011 Author Posted June 27, 2011 I found an old prepaid playstation network card that i used for the fender. now i just need to fill it out and i hoping the testors contour putty will work because its just a small spot but i've never done any bodywork so we'll see.
davyou5 Posted June 28, 2011 Posted June 28, 2011 Yes use you can use the putty as a filler with the card that would be a good idea . I have had to use the putty to fill in the Seat Heads on my now currently finshed build, and it helped out allot.. All you can do is try.. and learn .
