Hello all, I was wondering, what is currently the best thing to use to paint the raised letters on hard vinyl tires to where the paint won't rub off when you touch it?

I had heard to use Liquid Paper but that was years ago. Just wondering if there's something better now?

Thanks in advance!

I've had good luck with white acyrlic paint followed by a clearcoat, gloss or dullcoat depending on how much shine you want. Enamel paint reacts with the tire material and doesn't seem to cure but acyrlic has no such trouble.

Cool! Thanks guys!!!!! I'll pick up some acrylic flat white! That Sharpie paint pen sounds like a good idea too!!!!

I found a ultra-fine paint pen made by sharpie works the best.

Very easy to control!

Hey Rob, where's a good place to find one of those Sharpie paint pens?

Dip the sidewall in Future first and let it dry...then almost any paint will work! It's also one of the best ways I've found to serve as a base for tire decals!

Rehashing this post. Has anyone used liquid white out to paint the raised letters on a vinyl tire? I think the white out is acrylic base? I just bought some Bic, fine point, white out pens but I was hoping to hear something from someone that has used white out on vinyl tires before and what the actual result was? Do you have to spray dull coat over the tire after you apply the white out? If you apply the dull coat, do you have to be really careful with the tire so that you don't crack the dull coat?
