Brad-M Posted July 1, 2011 Posted July 1, 2011 Gents, I have painted the body of my model silver frost, or as close as I could get it to that shade. I will add the rally stripes over the top of the car, and want to add the GT stripes along the bottom of the car sides. They don't look very good (thick) so I painted a test peice from a spare kit part I have with the same colour and then decaled it. It looks terrible. Not only is it thick, but it looks like there is a large amount of the carrier film that either yellowed over time, or could it be part of the stripes? Are there after-market Mustang GT decals around, or do I have to use these and live with them? I mostly build aircraft models, and we have a plethora of after-market decals to dress our models up. Any help/advice would be appreciated. Thanks Brad
Brad-M Posted July 1, 2011 Author Posted July 1, 2011 Hi, Excuse my auto-ignorance , but who is Keith Marks? Thanks Brad you can get some very nice replacements from Keith Marks. the kit supplied decals were pretty bad unfortunately.
Brad-M Posted July 2, 2011 Author Posted July 2, 2011 Ok, thanks. Brad in past experience, yes no problems there. being a holiday weekend, at least here in the U.S. he may be out for the weekend so i'd give him a chance there to respond until tuesday or so. i've only ever bought his decals through email correspondence and it's never been an issue although he will sometimes take a few days to respond.
