Cato Posted July 8, 2011 Posted July 8, 2011 Great old-timey, 'bucks-down' look Robert. Other than the plug terminals and a distributor instead of magneto it's very faithful to period correct. I crewed on a local shop's bucks-down car just like that from '68 to '71. It spent more time on the tow rope than the asphalt!
comp1839 Posted July 8, 2011 Posted July 8, 2011 it is an awesome job robert. in case you'd be interested RB motion sells spark plug wire boots that would really dress up your build. cato, it's cirillo mag on the engine not a distributor. if anyone should really be interested, it is in the wrong location. the motor in the dragster is a 426 (at least those are the valve covers on the motor) which has it's distributor location in front of the right valve cover. the location shown would be correct for a 331-354-392 or a donovan. but, that's nit-pickin'. nice build robert.
Cato Posted July 8, 2011 Posted July 8, 2011 this is a cirillo mag. My bad Dave-ya got me! I was thinking Vertex and completely missed the Elephant in the room too!
